Frosty

The meat thermometer read 50.2 this morning when I woke up. We lost power on Thursday night, December 14th, and have been "camping" ever since. Since we have a gas water heater, a gas stove, and a gas fireplace we have been able to keep the place barely warm. Now, I'm sure some of you would argue that 50.2 wouldn't qualify; but hey, it was 27 outside! I started the fireplace at about 5:30am and by 8 it had increased to 55! Balmy!

Last night was the coldest night we've had in a while so we put the girls in their REI sleeping bags and then tucked them in bed as well. When I checked them this morning they were toasty!
